Maurice Law Office
Honouring history while shaping the future
Maurice Law, Canada’s first Indigenous-owned national law firm, chose to root their new Saskatoon office in a historic downtown building. By repurposing this heritage site, the project preserves its legacy while reimagining the interior for contemporary practice and community connection.
An office that reflects identity
The design blends modern functionality with Indigenous values of warmth, welcome, and inclusivity. Natural materials and an open, light-filled layout create a professional yet inviting environment that embodies the firm’s mission and ownership.
Smart design for limited space
With just 3,000 sq. ft., efficiency was essential. A mezzanine floor and signature open stairwell maximize the footprint while flooding the space with natural light, giving the office a spacious and uplifting quality beyond its modest size.
